{Kansas City Wedding Photographer} Becky and Jon are Married

This was the second Kansas City Wedding I photographed this year. Wow. What an amazing day. The day started at Becky’s mom’s house and ended at the incredible Loose Mansion.  For me, a wedding is an endless quest to capture the real emotion of the day. Laughter. Joy. Tears. Excitement. In this wedding I found them all. In its own special way, the whole day was a great tribute and testament to the legacy of Becky’s father who passed away a few years back. And as a father of a two year old girl, being a witness to this day made me realize even more how beautiful each day that we are given is. And my single hope is that I am able to see my daughter as happy as Becky is with Jon. Here is their story:

A hundred thank yous to the ultra-talented Jamie Russell  for shooting with me.

Here a few of  Becky”s most memorable moments:

“My cousin was sitting in the church before the ceremony and realized something was in his suit pocket and he pulled out the program from my father’s funeral almost 7 years ago.  He hadn’t realized it had been there after all these years until then, our wedding day.  I knew my dad was with me when he showed me that. Also, we had an issue with the bridesmaids bouquets and realized it 45 minutes before the ceremony, two of my dear friends went into super-hero mode and ran to the florist across the street from the church and bought as many white flowers as they could and completely re-made bouquets. And having our first dance as husband and wife was sweet, it has been a fun journey getting to this point and to have just a few minutes by ourselves was really special.”
