I don’t really know what to write to adequately describe this day. This was a day that we’ll stay with me for a long time. Destination weddings, by their vary nature are intimate. Only the closest of friends and family. Those that know you better than anyone else. Those that have been waiting for this day the longest. Those that will be laughing the hardest. This is the day you all come together to celebrate– still knowing that there are those who desperately wanted to come but couldn’t get away. There are moments in life where you realize how lucky you are. To have the people in your life that you do. For these two, I think it’s safe to say that this day was exactly that.
And to Abby and Kevin- I can only say thank you for bringing us along to tell this amazing story. You made me and Tera feel like family. We’re lucky to call you both friends.
We actually never wanted to have a destination wedding we always wanted the traditional ceremony with the big reception. We had even started planning our wedding here in KC until the stress set in and it didn’t feel enjoyable anymore. We had joked back and forth about just getting married on the beach because it sounded like it would be so much more care free and relaxing but we had the concern of friends and family not being able to make the trip. We immediately started talking to our friends and family about the idea and most everyone loved it! There were a few family members and friends that couldn’t make it (which we understood) but everyone was so supportive and loving. Everyone’s main concern was making sure that we were happy and we were doing what we wanted to do. It turned out to be the
most memorable, fun, and relaxing week of our lives!
